Hi loves,
When it comes to scent this mama has a nose of a dog. No joke! Ever walked into someones home or even a store and the smell is divine? Well babes that’s how I want my home to be. I burn candles daily, use essential oils for bedtime routines, even scents for my car. So let’s just say I am beyond ready for some winter wellness.
I am still new when it comes to essential oils. I know there is so much they can do and different ways you can benefit from using them. Typically I use them for scent or when traveling (read all about it here). I’ve always been curious to learn more about these oils, but the thought of figuring it out on my own was too much. I was so excited when Simply Earth reached out to do a collaboration. I’ve heard pretty cool things about their monthly boxes and all the different types of products you can make that are toxic free and actually easy to create. Which is good because this mama doesn’t have a single crafty fiber in her 😉

Incase you’re unfamiliar with Simply Earth let me break it down a bit for you. If you’re pretty clueless about essential oils, but always wanted to dive in then this is for you. Each month they have a new theme with recipes to help you create awesome products you can use everyday. And guys the recipes are pretty simple, this says a lot coming from a girl that can barely cut a straight line. If you have littles ones and want to give them an activity that doesn’t require much hassle bring them along. Plus, they donate 13% of their monthly profits to help fight human trafficking. There is nothing like a business that gives back babes!
Along with your first box, you will also receive a bonus box which include goodies to help you with your journey. January theme was all about winter wellness. I don’t know about you, but after the holidays I am pretty much over winter and ready for some early spring cleaning. Nothing beats detoxing things from your home and creating those “homey” vibes we all want! This box is all about giving yourself and your home some love this new year.

Here is what I received:

Meditation Diffuser Blend
This was the first one I created, because it was the most simple one hehehe! The meditation blend has a great citrus refreshing scent to boost your mood. It was the perfect scent to have rolling while I got some work done!

Circulation Boost Body Butter
I was beyond excited to try this out. I LOVE body butters + lotion. This was probably the hardest to make and by that I mean it took 10 mins. Has a ton of good oils to help promote circulation support, anxiety relief, hormone balance, supports your immune system and a ton of other good things. Its a little on the oily side, but not too bad. Plus, awesome scent!!

Relax & Detox Foot Bath
Nothing feels better than going home after a long day of work and treating your feet to some love. Usually I don’t ever give myself a foot bath, but after a hectic day at work, treating myself at home is a win. The relax & detox bath has a great relaxing scent and left my feet super smooth.

Refresh Spray
I live on refresher sprays for my home. From spraying them on my sheets to couches or simply to spray around the house. Out of everything in this box, the refresher spray was my least favorite. I was hoping for a more “spa” like scent. Now if you’re a fan of lemon scents, you’ll be obsesses!

Relief Massage Oil
Yes to the YES! I found the scent to be very comforting, I recommend using it before bed because it smells so relaxing. I suffer from back pains for years and I am always in the haunt for natural products to help ease the pain and this massage oil was perfect.

Relief Roll On
The relief roll on is the prefect product to use on the go. Great to have in your purse for whenever you’re in need of it. As for reliving back aches, I found the massage oil to be better. Even though I haven’t use yet for headaches, I believe it will be great to use for that. Definitely keeping it in my purse for future needs.

Have you ever tried Simply Earth? What has been your favorite recipe?

Happy Friday loves! I have a crazy weekend ahead of me. Next week my closet renovation starts and I have some many things to prep for it. House renovations isn’t my thing. I am too impatient for the process. You will find me going through granite and wallpaper options this weekend. I have decided on a few but going a little crazy deciding. I would hate to get a wallpaper only to find myself hating it after a month. Make sure you’re following along on instagram to see what I decide on. Enjoy your weekend,

Such a fun and unique little box of goodies. I’ve seen it before and found it to be a really neat idea. I don’t know much about essential oils but have recently started using them in my diffuser and was just making a spray for my classroom to keep lice at bay (I know, gross, but a reality of my job for many little ones, thankfully I’ve not caught it to date but it’s good to be safe). Enjoy your weekend.

Mel, I have a nose like yours and smell everything a million times stronger than the average person! I need to get making my essential oil recipes! They are still just sitting in the box. Ugh. I just never have the time. Wishing you much luck and patience with your closet renovation. It will all be worth it in the end!

I love the idea of getting everything I need to make “potions” in the mail every month – how fun! I have a few essential oils but haven’t really mixed them up and put them to use. I love the idea of using such natural ingredients in my home and on my body – so much safer than whatever some of those ingredients are. Your photos are beautiful and so are you!

This sis such a fun subscription box and it’s great it makes lots of things you can use! 🙂 It’s a shame we don’t have anything like this in Australia.
Thank you for the link up!
Hope that you have a nice weekend ahead of you 🙂
What a fun box! I love that it’s so easy to make your own scent. Good luck with your closet renovation and keeping my fingers crossed that it gets finished sooner than later. Happy Friday!
