What We Really Want for Mother’s Day

Hi loves,

So, Mother’s Day is literally right around, every husband and kid is asking their mother what they want for mothers day. What do we really want? Its the billion dollar question, but also a simple answer! Flowers, jewelry is great, don’t get me wrong. But us mama are easy! Our love ones don’t realize there are gifts money just can’t buy. Gifts we will truly appreciate. What we really want for mothers day! And Mel being Mel, I just had to mix some humor in it. Here is my (our) list on what we actually want for mothers day!

A Maid

A maid would be nice, I mean who can disagree?! Unfortunately my bank account doesn’t approve of a daily maid, but you know what would be nice? For everyone to clean after themselves! I sometimes find myself cleaning and cleaning just to go to sleep and clean the moment I open my eyes. It would be nice if my kids put their dishes after eating in the sink. It would be even nicer if my husband realize that his dirty socks actually go in the hamper, not on the floor next to the hamper.

For My Kids To Trust Me As Their Stylist

If they only knew I actually do this for a living and not just play dress up. Yes, kids I know what color matches with what. And I actually look at the weather channel before getting dressed! So rain boots on a hot humid day isn’t ideal!

One Big Happy Family

You know those Disney family shows where everyone gets along and love each other all the time, that will be nice! I know, I know this one is pretty much unrealistic! A mama can dream right?

No Decisions

I don’t want to decide on anything for a whole 24 hours! What to do, what to eat, where should we go, who should sit where (btw, who knew this is a complex question?). I do not want to decide on NADA! Can someone please take over? Pretty please?

Eating Warm Food

Why is it we are the one that cooks yet the last one to sit down? Yesterday I made dinner and by the time I finished serving everyone and sat down my food was cold. And guess what? I ate it just like that. Too tired to put it in the microwave. But it would be nice if I actually ate warm food once in a while. The simple things in life!

Eat your dinner
I would love for everyone to enjoy what I cooked for dinner. I know I’m not the best cook in the world. I sometimes burn dinner. But there are days I put my all into making dinner, even if it’s Mac and cheese from the box, it would be nice if you just eat it. No complains or them telling me what they don’t like. Just eat it!!

Chef

You know what, a chef would be nice!

Magical Teen Powers
This is a newbie for me but I would love to have some sort of magical powers on teens. I would love for my teen to realize I’ve been in her shoes and I know exactly how it feels to be 13. I would love for her realize this now and not wait until she’s 30! A hug from this teen would be nice too!

 

Pinterest Pantry

It would be nice if after I organize the pantry, it would stay organize. Every Monday that pantry is Pinterest worthy (not really, its just semi organized) after grocery shopping. It would be amazing if by Friday it still looked the same. What would be a cherry on top is if after buying snacks, someone thinks of leaving mom 1 cookie. Just 1. I like snacks too!!

Quite Time

And I’m not talking about those sneaky breaks you give yourself in the bathroom hoping no-one finds you for at least 5 mins. I mean full on break. Sitting in the couch with lifetime on while going through social media. No one asking questions, no one fighting, and for the kids to realize dad is more than qualified to resolves problems and answer questions.

A Target Run

BY MYSELF!! For at least 3 hours wondering around each aisle, debating if to need to redecorate my bathroom for the 3rd time this year. That type of Target run!

Mama Juice

Every mama needs Mama Juice!!

An Early Night

I sometimes daydream of going to bed at 7pm. All cozy in my PJ’s in my bed. I’m still daydreaming about that, because that shit would really be nice!!

A Day with the Homegirls

A day with no kids or hubby, only girlfriends. No talking about kids, mom life, wife life. A day to do the things we like to do as girls, pedi & mani, shopping, spa day, drinking some mama juice in the patio. Having adult conversations about topics we like. Just being girls!

🙂 I hope this gave a you a good laugh or two. We all can dream right? Regardless of all the crap I just wish I get for Mother’s Day, in reality even a home made card can do the trick! We are made to bypass all these things that get on our nerves and love our family anyways!
