Hi loves,
Mom with Style is celebrating 5 years guys! It doesn’t even feel like it’s been 5 years. Wasn’t it yesterday when I had this crazy idea to put all my thoughts and opinions on the internet? Yet, 5 years later it still feels like it’s new. Why does it still feels new? Well, this is a learn as you go type of thing. The learning never stops. There is always new plugins you have to figure out. And don’t even get me started on SEO. Thats a topic I still haven’t mastered. I have to admit though, I like that it stills feels new. You know when you do something new for the first time, you put your all into it with a type of motivation you can’t really explain? Because it’s all new and you still don’t really know what to expect. I don’t ever want to feel like it’s old, keeping it feeling new is what keeps me going.
What keeps me motivated to keep going? Sometimes getting on here can be difficult. What do you talk about? What do you share? Is it interesting? None of us live glorious lives. We are just regular people that sometimes feel, “who would actually care about my regular life”. So to answer your question, its pure motivation! To keep growing. To keep learning. Motivation to be better than what I was yesterday! This wouldn’t be done without help. Here is a list of people and things that helps motivate me as a blogger.

You Guys
You truly are my number 1 reason I stay motivated! One thing you learn as a business owner is to talk to one person, rather than a group. When you talk as if you were talking to everyone, you loose sense of who and what your business is all about. A specific customer. In this instance, a specific reader. Talking to you feels like I’m talking to my best friend. You get me. It’s hard to open your laptop and type away. Sometimes it doesn’t even feel like you have anything to say. But then I realize we are friends and I can tell you pretty much anything, even if my life isn’t as glamorous to even talk about. This blog will be nothing if I were talking to my internet friends!

My Kids
I talked about my experiences to be better ever since I became a mother mainly because I want to be the best mom these kids can possibly have. They deserve the best version of me. It’s a hustle that never ends. They also keep me motivated because I want to set a good example. I want them know know regardless of what comes their way, regardless how hard it may be, if they try their best and put 110% into it, anything is possible.

My New Guardian Angel
Most of you may know my dad passed away early this year. As hard and difficult it has been for me, it has put a different perspective on the things I do. Do I love it? Do I enjoy it? Then I shall continue! He would want me to proceed doing anything that brings me joy. Plus, I also still want to make him proud. I don’t think you ever grow out of that mentality where you want your parents to be proud of who they raised. As a parent I know I will always be proud of my kids. But if they are doing something that changes their life for the better and makes them happy, I’ll be right there, happy with them. I know he is forever watching over me with the cutest grin, because he knows his baby girl is happy doing what she loves!

My Faith
Regardless what religion you’re a part of or if you don’t have one, faith is much bigger than that. Faith is about believing in something you may not necessarily see, but trust that it’s there. Faith is what has guide me in so many aspects in my life, through good times and tough situations. Knowing it’s harder to believe than what it is not to believe, I would choose the hard way and have faith. I believe that there is always something good coming our way. I have faith in god, the universe, myself, people.. all of it. Faith makes you look at life in a more colorful way and keeps you motivated. I’m always going to follow that rainbow.

Myself
Is it weird to say I keep myself motivated because I also want to make myself proud? Because I truly do! This blog gave me a purposes at a time when I didn’t even know how badly I needed it. It gave me a sense of self. I always want to make that girl in the mirror proud of all her accomplishments.

Thank you for reading my post and coming back for more. Thank you for making blogging a thing that makes me happy. Thank you for being there for me, even in moments I didn’t know were there. Thank you for not taking my sarcastic words offensive 😉 And a HUGE thank you for keeping me motivated!
Cheers to another 5 years babes!!

Happy weekend! Is it me or did this week fly by? Actually this whole season is flying by. After a productive weekend last week, I am looking forward to a more relaxing one. We got all of the kids school supply shopping done (in one shopping trip, score). Now it’s time for my favorite back to school shopping, clothing! The kids are all in that stage where they are figuring out their personal style. So this can go really good where I agree with all their choices or me fighting with them on what’s okay and what’s not appropriate. Wish me luck! I am going to need that new rose I just bought for sure 😉

Happy Blogiversary, my friend! I have been struggling a bit lately with questions of “Do people really care what I have to say?” The imposter syndrome sets in hard…like why do I think I am so important that my life has any interest to anyone. Hmmm…maybe a blog post topic for me! In any event, I love what you do here in your space! And this jumpsuit is incredibly adorable! Thanks for being you and being true and authentic!

Congratulations on 5 years blogging – that’s a huge long time (to me, anyway)! I’m so sorry about your Dad. Mine passed away some years ago and I miss his support and encouragement in everything I ever did. I didn’t tell him thank you enough, either.
This jumpsuit is so cute and you’ve accessorized it beautifully – it looks just wonderful on you. And I hope I can continue to find inspiration to keep up blogging but I do find that these linkups and the friends I’ve made through it are a great resource and encouragement! It’s so hard to share personal things online for me, but I’m working my way into a bit more of that now.

I enjoyed reading this post and yes, I cannot believe at how time just flew by. Congratulations on your blog anniversary! You have done a great job and wishing you many more years of blogging. Of course, I cannot leave without saying I am obsessed with your denim jumpsuit. It’s super cute and more than the ruffles, I am a fan of the cinched waist! I feel like they really make or break the look of a jumpsuit for me especially since my body type is straight. I hope you are having a great Friday so far and wishing you a fabulous weekend!
