At home the word need gets thrown around a lot. “I need popsicles”, “I need to have a sleepover” or even the “I need an iPhone but I’m only 9” that cracks me up. I always explain the difference between need and want, because I would be going crazy if I didn’t. Now don’t tell the kids I just said I didn’t know I needed these pants. This stays between us 😉
I recently mentioned on my instagram my two youngest are off camping with grandma. This gave me the opportunity to do something I hardly ever feel like I can actually do. Spend quality time with just one of them. One of our favorite mommy and daughter things to do with my oldest is go thrift shopping. She loves fashion as much as I do and can appreciate repurposing clothes. When it comes to thrift shopping, I am very particular. First I only buy pieces that fits me. I know sometimes we buy things, because they are a good deal, but does nothing for us. Whether it’s in style or fit. I also don’t care too much of brands, rather than finding unique pieces. Isn’t that the whole point?
I spotted these pleated pants and thought OMG where the heck have I’ve been? I never thought I liked, yet needed these pants! Sometimes plated bottoms can go good or bad in the way it fits your body. These wide leg, drawstring pants are perfect though! The fit is everything you guys. Originally these pants were only a few inches from fitting me right in length, but with the raw hem they were an easy fix.
We are planning on going on a beach vacation at the end of the month and these babies are coming with me. I can wear them as a beach cover up or to wear out for dinner. These pants are so breezy, extremely soft and I can see them being used through next season as well with a tucked in tee, leather jacket and booties.
