Summer Date Night + WW Linkup

Hi loves,

Happy Friday… even though it feels more like a Wednesday!! I hope you all had a great 4th of July! We had a great low-key family day and I truly felt very rested. We spend most of the day at the lake and I completely forgot to put sunscreen on myself. Don’t ask me how one forgets to put sunscreen on herself, when she’s consistently applying it to her kids!! I am usually pretty good about taking care of my skin from the sun. Let’s just say I was so uncomfortable that night. My skin is so red right now, it’s still warm to the touch. Aloe has been my best friend these past couple of days 🙁 Afterwards went home to grill and then we went to see the fireworks.

A few months ago when we went shopping for our summer collection at FAME trade show, I spotted this beautiful print OTS ruffle dress. I knew we had to bring this to the shop this summer!! It is prefect for all those summer events to attend; weddings, girls night, parties, date night, Saratoga Race Track.

As I have mentioned before, I am usually not a ruffles type of girl. On my petite frame, they look a little too juvenile. Since this dress is bodycon, having the ruffles on them hem creates a hourglass instead. I am obsessed with the floral print and bright colors! It is one of those pieces that brightens your day when your wearing it. I didn’t second guess on what to wear for a date night, I knew this dress was just right.

It’s also a great dress to play with accessories, which you can pair either bold colors or nudes. If you’ve been following for a while, you’ll know I’m all about color, especially during the summer months. I decided to style this dress with two bright colors. Considering I went with a more bold look. I kept my accessories to a minimal, just heels and a bag (similar options down below). I do have to say.. I felt kinda naked. Am I the only one that feels naked without any piece of jewelry?

I wore this outfit Wednesday evening to celebrate my anniversary with the hubby. It seems so bizarre to be with someone for 11 years! In a good way of course 🙂 As much of a pain in my butt he can be, I can never vision a better husband and father for my kids than this man!
