Hi loves,
Who is ready for the biggest, special edition date night of the year? Those who have been dating for a while or whom are married know… there’s nothing like quality time away from your everyday hustle. The truth is, you get so wrapped up in your daily to-do’s that it may feel like you never really see each other, even when you actually live together! I love those days when we have a babysitter and can go do something special and fun, just the two of us. Because even though you’re together, you still have to keep the mentality of dating. I believe dating is what keeps that spark alive. Whether you go on a coffee date, weekend getaway… shoot, even a Netflix date works.
Plus, date night calls for a total wardrobe change in my book! Anytime I get a chance to wear something special, something different… I’m all in!
I usually don’t wear anything that is low cut, like a deep V. I am sure other mamas can relate that certain areas in your body aren’t what they use to be #gravitysucks When I style other moms who are afraid of wearing certain items I know will look amazing on them, I always tell them “stepping out of your comfort zone just a little when it comes to fashion, can make you view your body in a whole different way”. So, I gotta do as I preach and go for those daring outfits here and there. It’s always the outfits your afraid of putting together and wearing that make you feel like the best version of yourself. The outfit that make you feel like a total badass! And that my friends, is the vibes my velvet plum maxi dress gives me!!
I adore this TOBI dress! The velvet, how comfortable it is, the vibrant and sexy color… love it all!! The moment I saw this dress I knew it was a show stopper for a special date night. Now is it actually comfortable? I wasn’t too sure. I don’t know about you, but this girl loves a good steak and potatoes 😉 I don’t play with my food. Can this dress help a girl out when she wants to stuff her face with yummy food? The answer is heck yea! No zipper, no uncomfortable tight fabric. Don’t get me wrong, it keeps things together, this mom ain’t no super model, but definitely breathable.
Not only is this dress magnificent, it was the only statement piece I wanted to rock. For this reason, I kept everything else clean and simple with just one other color… black. Black isn’t always my go-to color, but for this dress it was honestly the only color I thought of. Adding a black leather jacket is a total must! Kinda going with this total badass mood. I’ve had this jacket for years and it always does justice. Finished the look with my favorite stud pumps, tassel earrings and the perfect cocktail ring.
What are you plans for Valentine’s Day? Do you usually cerebrate?

Wow! What a beautiful dress and you look gorgeous! Date night is definitely hard to come by in our neck of the woods too and a lot of the times that we do get lucky to get a date day or night we just want to rest! But dressing up once in awhile is the way to go for spicing things up even if we did just go to a coffe place. It brings about a mood that isn’t there when you are in your joggers! Lol 😂 So I totally agree with you.
