Hi loves,
I am no newbie when it comes to repurposing my wardrobe! I love exploring new ideas with my clothes and finding different ways to style them to make them feel new again. Plus, it excites me when I see myself wearing the pieces over and over. It’s how I justify shopping hehe!! One of my favorite way to repurposing my clothing is giving them a fresh new start. I change maxi dresses to shorts dress and jeans to shorts, it’s how I roll!

I showed you this skirt back in spring with it’s original ankle length. And I loved this skirt just the way it was. The rust color is vibrant, the buttons and side tie is a fun add on! I’ve worn this skirt so many times from work to casual wear. But needed to mix somethings up a bit. Sometimes when I have worn things to the max, I take it to the tailor and change it up a bit. I went from having an ankle length skirt to midi style and couldn’t be more excited with the outcome!
Being petite, I strive to make my legs appear longer regardless of the silhouette I am wearing, specially if it’s an ankle style skirt. There is something about ankle length skirts that will cut my petite frame if I don’t wear the right shoe. Living in upstate NY, open toe shoes doesn’t work all year long. And I love this skirt too much to only rock it during the warmer month due to limited shoe options. So with fall soon approaching, I decided to make this skirt a midi rather than ankle length. This length will help a girl out when deciding what shoe to wear and make it feel like I have a new piece in my wardrobe.

How do you repurpose your wardrobe?

It was a great idea to turn it into a midi skirt, it looks super flattering. I need to start doing the same thing, sometimes I get bored of clothes I’ve worn so many times and that’s a great way to change things up a bit.
What a great idea, especially when it is such a versatile piece!
