Hi loves,
With Christmas right around the corner, I have turned to Pinterest (My favorite social media) for some tips on Christmas recipes. I’ll have to warn you…. I am not a cooking person. I am mostly the one who cooks in my house, but it isn’t my thing, you know? In order for me to do a recipe, it has to be something easy and fun. I am not going to my local grocery for an hour trying to find a certain onion, that came from Brazil…. it happen to me once and you should of seen me going crazy with a picture of the dang onion in my hand and never even found it. Recipes have to include things I know of.
This year I am hosting two Christmas parties and want to spice things up, these are what I have found so far;
1. Pernil
I am Puerto Rican and well we tend to cook Pernil (pork shoulder) for most events, but it’s a must for the Holiday season. I love the fact that you don’t have to put a oflot thought to it. You have to season it, (and I mean really season it) I suggest the night before and put it in the oven. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!! It taste AMAZING!!!!!
If my husband can eat one thing for life, it will be Mac and Cheese. I on the hand dislike it. I’m not a big fan of cheese and well that’s the whole point of it. Over the year it seemed like every restaurant we will go to serve this dish. He will tell me how its his new favorite dish…Hint Hint, he wants me to make it. Well being the good wife that I am (at times lol) I went home made mac and cheese (from the box 😉 ), shape it into a ball, and attempt to fry it… I am laughing right now at the total mess I made and no mac and cheese balls for him. What can I say, its hard to make something, you can’t taste to see what your missing. This recipe is simple and he loves it, so it must be good!
3. Parmesan Upside Down Baked Potatoes
Haven’t tried this myself yet, but looks good in pictures and simple!
This is a recipe the kids will love to join in and help make it. Which kid wouldn’t like to eat green and red eggs?
This is our eggnog. This is such a yummy drink!! A MUST TRY! That’s the only way I could describe it.
(Found this recipe on a blog I follow, Dreaming of Leaving)
6. Grinch Punch
I am so excited to make this. The name says it all!
I feel like making this now. I tried this type of Milkshake one time at Red Robin and haven’t forgot about it since!
This looks so pretty! It’s a great option for a toast, instead of your regular champagne.
These are my finds so far. Still need a deseret! If you have any reccomedations please feel free to comment down below and let me know.
Hope you guys have a fabulous day!
