Hi loves,
If you’ve been a reader for a while, you know this mama loves a good bold outfit or like some may call it… being extra 😉 I can’t lie guys, I love getting all dressed up with bold colors or prints. Even though I like to create that “extra” outfit, theres nothing more refreshing than a minimalist chic look!! It will always be a classic for years and years. The best part of a minimalist look is regardless what your style is, its a look everyone can rock and make it their own! Another reason a like rocking this look is how easily you can transform it to work for most occasion, from an office meeting to your Saturday Target run 🙂
Today I am sharing easy steps to create a Minimalist look this winter!
Keeping it Simple and Basic
Basics is what I choose first from my closet to create a minimalist look. Your favorite plain tee or sweater can go along way keeping this look chic!
Flattering
This goes for pretty much any type of style you wish to rock. But since we are talking about basics here, the last thing you want to do is rock a solid look that is too big or just doesn’t go with your body shape.
No Color or Prints
That’s old school! Just because its a minimalist look, doesn’t mean you can’t wear colors or prints! Seriously! I like to add one pop of color or print, while keeping everything else… simple.
Add Some Nude or Dark Colors
Typically I would of gone for my signature white jeans, but I wanted to change things up. A pair of black jeans went so well with this look. Adding some dark or nude colors also helps tone down any bright colors or prints you decided to rock.
Distress or No Distress?
Typcially I would answer no distressed on your jeans. But honestly, keeping the whole look really simple, distressed here and there isn’t bad. These distressed jeans are pretty simple… no extra hem going on!
Minimal Jewerly
Keeping your jewelry to a minimal, helps create that simple, minimalist look! No distractions, just clean and chic. I added a pair a earrings and a white handbag (similar options down below).
What is your must have item when rocking a minimalist look?
Any weekend plans? My weekend is going to be getting my house back in order after the holidays. I think I am the only house in my neighborhood with Christmas decorations lol. This weekend is going to be extremely cold and I mean extreme, -5!!!! So my behind is not stepping foot outside. Have a great weekend,

Love this outfit. You look great! I was also drawn to your jacket and booties. 😀 Both are so pretty! Minimalistic speak, I don’t wear jewelry and if I can forego extra items like jackets, cardigan or scarf and still look cute without them then I do that. Not everyone will agree with me and that’s okay but I think less is more. 😀
