Hi loves,
Tie dye has been major this summer, you see it everywhere and I am loving it! Was I always up for this trend? Nope. The moment tie dye was trending again I had no interest. Tie dye can be very intimidating, there’s a ton going on. A lot of colors, boldness, which makes some of us gear away from it completely. I was there at one point too. Here is the catch… the more I saw it, the more I ended up liking it. And it’s crazy to say, but most of my summer buys included some type of tie dye. There was even a point I venture into buying a tie dye kit and getting crafty with it 😉
The type of tie dye style I like is either soft colors or pieces with an ombre effect. Multi rainbow pieces are still not my thing. To be honest, I don’t think they will ever be. I guess with this trend you have to start slow. Start with some of your favorite colors or even items with light colors. I find them to be easier to incorporate and fall in love with.
There are a couple of pieces with this trend that has been on repeat, including these loungewear shorts. The colors brightens my mood and the fact that they are extremely comfortable definitely helps! If you’re like me who simply can’t get enough of this style, I am here to show you 3 different ways to style tie dye shorts!

Causal Vibes Only
My time during quarantine has proven to me causal looks aren’t so bad after all. As much as I love being dolled up, there is nothing like loungewear! Plus, there is always a way to incorporate easy, causal pieces and still look put together. For this look I gather my most loved basics, a simple white tee, flat sandals, and a dainty necklace. To create that “put together” style, I knotted my tee instead of a half tuck since these shorts have a relaxed fit.

Add Some Heels and Call It a Night
Who knew you can add some heels with loungewear shorts and instantly create a dinner option? I am a true believer heels can change the mood of your outfit! I went with the same color scheme of my shorts with a pair of soft blue heels and statement earrings. Finished my look with a fitted bodysuit.

Fall Here I Come
Not that I am ready nor do I want fall to come knocking at my door anytime soon, but we have to start thinking ahead. Before you know it NY temps will start lowering, but my want for tie dye will continue. I have been obsessed with these white booties since I bought them last fall and knew it was the perfect add on to this early fall look. Unfortunately, these booties are sold out, but check similar pairs down below. I kept the same bodysuit & earrings from look 2 and added an oversize denim jacket to complete my look.

I am so glad tie dye is back and I couldn’t be any happier. I love how simple yet so chic your outfit is. It looks good casually and dressed up. Those white booties are the perfect fall accessory!

I always love your posts and I hear you on the tie dye, I was a little late to join in but love the shirts that I purchased in June and wear them ALL the time. I love these shorts and how you styled them with different outings in mind. I love a good heel and some statement earrings to change the outfit up, but have also found that my summer style is always so casual as I am at the beach most of the time. Looking gorgeous as always.

I love those shorts! I’m looking for a couple of cute tie dye pieces…hopefully we’ll get some nice weather in September so I can wear them before having to pack my Summer clothes away!
