This Season’s Feather Trend

Can you believe we had amazing weather yesterday and I’m talking about mid 70s! It was so nice to see the kids playing outside, riding their bikes. Loved my little peak of spring weather, specially since it will be snowing today!! Don’t know understand it. But back to fashion… Are you guys into the feather trend? Feather is going to be a huge trend this season. Its a trend you either love or hate, no in between! I personally love it. It gives off that girly style I clearly love. I also find it fun and we know we all need a little fun with our style during the winter months.

One night when it was way pass my bedtime (I always hate myself afterwards) I came across this plaid feather detail blouse and was like “yes, Mel… you need this in your life. You need some feathers and all the cutest of this blouse”. And here it is! Do you usually shop when its pass your bedtime and you can’t seem to fall asleep? Its all fun and games until your hubby comes home just in time to see those UPS packages…

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I wasn’t too sure about these red booties. It was one of those “I like them, but I don’t!” When I received it, it was better than what I expected 😉 It makes an awesome statement to any outfit and goes so well with these feathers!

I finished this look with some distressed white jeans and my favorite blazer. I have worn this cape blazer a million times, dressed up or casual and each and every time I fall in love with it all over again!
