Is never too early to talk about summer, your wishlist and shopping, am I right? Who can resist the warm weather and a great summer outfit? Not this chica!! I cleared my closet and got rid of all my summer items I no longer want to keep (posting them on my Poshmark closet soon). Now, I feel refreshed! Ready for some new summer items to fill my closet.
Because this mama is in a budget, creating a wishlist list helps. This way I know what I would like to add to my wardrobe, prices, and making sure I am not buying multiples. If I don’t keep myself on track, I’ll end up buying 5 white dress that either look the same or similar to what I already own. Believe me, I’ve been there!!
I am so excited to add these items to my closet and ready for those laid back summer days 😉
1. Prefect Dress For Those Chilly Summer Nights
Usually my summer wardrobe consist of bright colors, but there’s nothing like a good neutral dress. The floral and ruffles in this dress is so my style, but so are the sleeves. I know what your thinking, long sleeves for summer? Well, yes! I live in upstate NY where summer nights can be a bit chilly, long sleeves can be practical.
I am sure you guys know how much I love a white dress, surprisingly I don’t own any white maxi dresses. I saw this one the last time I was in Forever 21, but wanted to hold off until I made sure I didn’t own any similar options. It’s a bit see through, so a cami dress is necessary unless you want to wear it as a bathing suit cover up, which I think will look so fabulous. I love the crochet details and the buttons!
Is this a cute two piece or what? I have to say first, I don’t tend to go for skirts, I rather go for a dress. But when you find a two piece like this for summer, skirts will now begin to be in your radar! These pieces are similar to scuba material, where it’s breathable, yet keeps everything together. Obsessed with the prints, besides you can always wear this multiple was to maximize your wardrobe and looks!!
Wedges are all I’ve been thinking about lately! Seriously!! I love this metallic wedge, it will look beautiful with white or grey. I also like the heel, it’s high, but the platform in the front makes it easy to walk in.
I don’t own many bodysuits, partly because I have a short torso and it can appear baggy on me. This white ruffle bodysuit is what dream are made of! Fits prefect on me and can be worn on the shoulders or off. I can’t wait to style this with distressed shorts and possibly those metallic wedges 😉
My summer days usually consist of trips to the lake. I live 8 mins away from one, so its definitely a easy trip. Take the kids for a few hours, bring snacks and a good book… so relaxing! I love the tassel in this coverup and the fact that its black and white. It will look so cute with a bright bathing suit!
A statement earring is ideal for summer. Anything too bulky, like a statement necklace will honestly make me sweaty. My obsession with statement earrings started early this year and its not going anywhere anytime soon! These tassel earrings seems like the perfect statement to add to any outfit!!
8. Sunsets and Sangria… ah, Yes Please
I’m always down for sangria! If you saw my Friday post, I raved about a good graphic tee. I only own one sleeves graphic tee, so adding this one to my wardrobe is a must. You can wear this tee with a skirt, shorts, jeans or even your workout gear. Very practical for me!!
9. Light-Weight Statement Earrings
Another statement earring? Why, yes!! These earrings are so light-weight, you don’t even realize you have them on. They aren’t your basic hoops, for sure!
I own a pair of scalloped shorts in yellow, since then I’ve been looking for white one with no luck. You can definitely dress up these shorts easily. I might just do a white on white summer look with the bodysuit above 😉
