Hi loves,
What mom doesn’t like (or should I say need) a night out? I love having a night out with the hubby, but as I gotten older I have appreciate the meaning of Galentine’s Day. A night out with the girls. Celebrating a day where you get together with your girlfriends and just enjoy each others company. Enjoying the laughter. Enjoying the girl talk. Whether it’s going for drinks, lunch, a shopping trip, or simply a night in.
I never realized how much I really need this type of relationship until I became a mother. When I need someone to tell me the truth, someone I can just let it all out with, and someone for those times when you’re being hard at yourself for no good reason, it’s always good to have a girlfriend to turn to. They’ve sort of become my adult diary.

Because Sometimes As Moms Forget We Are Humans Too
We tend to take care of everyone, because hello, we are moms! Everyone needs us. But that doesn’t mean we should forget about ourselves. And I get it. Easier said than done. But you have to make yourself a priority too.

Because We Need To Be Surrounded By Like Mind Women
Another thing I learned as I gotten older is the importance surrounding yourself with like minded people. People who think like you. People who value what you do.

Because We Need A Break Too
What mom doesn’t need to keep her sanity level? There is a lot of responsibility as mothers. We do it because not only do we have to, but we want to. And sometimes we simply need a break. A break to clear our minds so we can be better mothers.

Because We Need To Empower Other Moms Too
We are like a gang. The good one 😉 We need to empower other moms to know how strong and powerful we are! To be there for them when they are doubting themselves. When they need the extra encouragement. When they to know they aren’t alone and we are all going through it too 😉

As much as I love dressing up and wearing heels, sometimes all I want is casual feel. I’ve been experimenting with athleisure wear a lot this year and I seriously can’t get enough. Who knew a girl who is obsessed with heels finds planning looks around sneakers exciting? Of course I had to add a pink graphic tee that describes my life pretty good. Plus adding some Valentine’s Day inspired colors. I knotted my graphic tee to give it a little edgy vibe with a pair of distress jeans and a belt bag.

What are you wearing this galentines day?
Take a break, put your favorite outfit on, have some rose and enjoy being with the girls,

That’s so true. Never do we need our girlfriends more than once we have kids. I think going out for Galentine’s Day is a great idea.
It’s always nice to have the girls that understand what you’re going through and can help pick you up when mom life gets hard.

Self care is so important! Mom life is hard and sometimes all we need is a little break to bounce back and be the best moms we could be!

Yes I couldn’t agree more! Girl friends are like a life line and they are so essential navigating through this thing we call life. Love this casual and cute outfit! Graphic tees, I am convinced are my favorite. They describe us so well and so easy to dress up or down. Who doesn’t love that?! Happy Friday Melissa. Wishing you a fabulous weekend ahead!

Girlfriends are truly a lifeline! Love how you put it. There isn’t a graphic tee I don’t love! I usually always dressed mine up a bit, but happy to wear them more causally

Mel, I love this graphic tee and your entire outfit is so adorable. I agree we all need girls’ time with our other mom friends. It definitely helps to keep us sane! And sometimes when no one is available to hang out with, I just head out alone! In fact, last weekend, I had dinner with a girlfriend and she headed home early, so I went to watch a wonderful live band at a local bar…by myself…and it was so relaxing to just sit and enjoy the performance without any conversation at all.

Omg yes! I love spending time with girlfriends but there is nothing like spending time alone! A band and yummy drinks all while in the company of yourself sounds so refreshing
