What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag

Whenever I travel I like to keep my makeup bag to a very minimal, which may be a little crazy considering the amount of makeup I own… but thats for another post ;). I am usually on the casual side when I travel, for the simple fact I hate carrying a ton of crap. I bring one of each item and just make it work. I usually bring travel size makeup and beauty items when traveling. I usually carry these in my carry-on, just in case my suitcase gets lost.

Last week we travel with the kids to Disney for a week. Knowing my trip is going to consist of all day makeup application, I went for my favorite long lasting items. Have you ever told a child to wait to go somewhere fun while you get ready? Yes… you know I literally had like 5 mins to get ready after hearing over and over “can we leave now?” These products are not only long lasting, but easy to apply and blend!

I think everyone in the world feels like their pores are huge! I am one of those lol. I can’t stand wearing foundation and my pores are just out there hanging out… okay maybe I’m exaggerating ;). But seriously no one likes their pores to look obvious when wearing foundation! I am obsessed with Benefit Porefessional! It works wonders, leaving whatever foundation you choose to wear with, a flawless finish!!

My IT Cosmetics and Makeup Forever HD Foundation went hand in hand in this trip. I love using both separately as they give great coverage and finish, but I took it an extra mile and used them together. The results… AMAZING!

I love trying new makeup products like concealers, its always good to see what else is better than your current one. Regardless of which ones I end up liking, I always go back to my Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. Its light-weight but covers all my dark circles. Whenever I am going for a bb or cc cream as foundation, I love adding this concealer. The finish is simple yet flawless!

I am no professional when it comes to contour like Kim Kardashian, but I do like to give my face some color and glow. Smashbox Contour Kit comes with 3 colors 2 bronze colors and a highlight. I typically use the lighter bronze shade to contour and the darker shade in my crease when I’m doing my eyes. 3 in 1 product!

Urban Decay Naked Basic Eyeshadow palette is the type of basic eye look you need on vaca! Theres so many different eye look you can create with the 6 colors it comes with. This baby can take you from morning to night with just a few changes.

I love adding blush to my everyday look. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hr Blush gave me the prefect flush look. Did it last 12 hrs…. no, but is there such thing that will last that long? I say it lasted probably 6 hours and guys that pretty good for a blush!

I can never leave the house without filling in my brows. Even if I have no makeup or when I’m going to the gym #dontjudge I will fill them in. MAC actually surprise me with their eyebrow pencil. A few years back they had their original brow pencil and I hated it. That pencil wasn’t what I needed to fill in, my brows looked way too thick in a bad way. This new brow pencil they have now is ten times better. If your looking for a pencil to fill your brows a bit… you have to check out these pencils!

Since I have an eyebrow obsession or problem.. however you’ll want to call it, I never leave on vacation without tweezers. I can’t stand having an odd hair out of nowhere messing up my brow game. I’m not too picky with brands when it comes to tweezers as long as they do their job, I’m happy. These are inexpensive and they last forever.

Longwear lip stains is what I’m all about during vacations! The only lip products I packed for this trip was my Tarte lip stain and chapstick. This lip stain wears good while eating or drinking. My favorite part.. it didn’t dry up or make my lips flaky in any way.

I’ve been all about mesh lately! I decided to use my Mary Kay mesh makeup bag for this trip to store all my goodies! I have link similar makeup bags down below 🙂
