Hi loves,
Traveling from cold to warm climates its always my favorite! I mean, who can disagree? Winter in the North East can be tough and so long, by March you’re ready for some fun at the beach! Last week, the hubby and I went to Costa Rica for a little getaway… just the two of us. While packing of this trip, I made sure to include a comfy outfit for my travels. This outfit had to be semi practical for both locations. One thing I knew for sure is that this outfit can not include my winter coat. No one wants to walk around the airport with their luggage, handbag, and a winter coat to top it off. Not comfortable at all! Keep in mind when planning a travel look that can take you from a cold climate to a warm area, is all about key pieces!!
So what do you do when you refuse to bring your winter coat along? You opt for cardigans! They can keep you warm enough until you reach your destination and not such a pain to carry it around. This cardigan is a recent purchase for my spring wardrobe. It’s going to get lots of use for sure. You can pair it with jeans and a tee like I did or with a sundress and wedges.
Back in December, I did a post on a comfy travel look for the holidays and featured these jeans. I swear they are super comfy and can keep its shape throughout the day. Have you ever worn a pair of skinny jeans and by afternoon your skinny jeans looks more like girlfriend jeans? I hate that! It annoys me to keep pulling my jeans up because they have gotten looser around my waist. There was no way I was going to travel 5 hours and not feel comfortable with my clothes. The light wash and distressed style made so easy to transition to both climates.
Graphic tees are always a vaca essential! They are easy and can be worn so many different ways. I went for my sparkle flamingo tee, to give me those summer vibes. I have a semi (kinda big) obsession with flamingos ever since I was little. I find them so adorable so any time I am able to rock an item with a flamingo print… I’m all in!
To finish my look I added a pair of slip on sneakers and some accessories including a spring scarf. I like to take a scarf with me while traveling in an airplane. Besides that I’m always super cold, I am that girl that falls asleep. I usually sleep with a blanket over my face, I swear its not as bad as it sounds, I just feel cozy like that.
It hasn’t been a week and I already miss Costa Rica! It was one of my most relaxing vacations ever and I truly miss it!! Doing a review next week so stay tune! This week has literally flown by with school closing and delays (due to snow), busy at work, parent teacher conference, 1/2 days for the kids… glad the weekend has arrived! We have another birthday this weekend at our house, my blondy turns 9 years old today! She has made a ridiculous birthday wishlist, which includes an iPhone X and a shopping spree, since when 9 years old ask for gift that starting price is a grand? At nine years old all I wanted was the spice girls movie 😉
Have a great weekend
