Dusters are a must have wardrobe staple for fall! Just like cardigans, duster adds the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. I know most petite ladies shy away from rocking dusters. But babes I don’t follow rules. Mama here makes any piece petite friendly, regardless of my 4’10 frame. Besides the longer the duster the bigger statement it makes. I have a couple dusters in my wardrobe, but I recently added this leopard one and I am ecstatic!
There are so many details about this duster I love. The open style makes it ideal to layer with. The side slits silhouette helps frame your body. Obviously, the leopard print caught my eye. I love the neutral colors in it, making it easier to love such a bold print. The material is also a favorite. I am so in for the satin trend! Nothing feels softer than a satin piece. Complete obsession!
I talked about hardly owning black pieces of clothing in my wardrobe a lot here. It’s by choice, shocking to some I bet. Black has never been my color. But there are pieces I find that completely washes those thoughts. This front tie, lace top is beyond adorable. Even if you’re like me when it comes to wearing black, it’s impossible not to love. The lace up is a fun detail. You can rock like I am over a bralette for bit more extra coverage. Or style it with a cute lace bra instead. Finished my look with statement earrings, over the knee boots and saddle bag.
Are you into the duster trend for fall?
Happy Friday friends! I have a crazy day with a ton of to do’s before the weekend begins. I have a lot of work to finish up and my laundry is piled to its fullest… no joke. We don’t have any set plans this weekend other than getting halloween costumes. My son has been a police officer for the past 3 years in a row guys. Considering saving his costume for next year. Would that be weird? I am crossing my fingers hopping he decides on something different this year. Have a great weekend,

Great look, and how wonderful to see my friend Ellie featured.
Love that spotted sweater. So pretty. Have a great weekend.
That duster is amazing and will really work for you in so many situations and through the seasons. I have a couple of duster cardigans but that’s something I want to add to my collection as we enter full on fall and winter. Love everything about this outfit. Now, your son is funny. Does he just love the idea of police officers? My youngest would re=wear a costume but my oldest always has new ideas. Good luck with the laundry and thanks for hosting.
Love the leopard duster and how you styled it. Looks great on you.
Thank you so much for featuring my look! How exciting especially since I wasn’t so sure I liked it!
Love how you made the long cardigan work for your small frame. I’ve always stayed away from the longer lenghts because I am short as well. Will have to take another look at them. You look gorgeous in this outfit!
It’s such a cute long jacket, love how you’ve styled it. Do come join the #chicandstylish #linkup Jacqui x
I never would have guessed you were less than 5 foot! You definitely make it true that there is nothing a petite woman can’t wear! You styled the duster beautifully!
Mel, this outfit is so amazing! I love both the duster and the lace up top so much. Just gorgeous, my friend. Have a wonderful weekend!
I love the look of duster kimonos! They are a beauty and make a statement. This leopard one is very eye catching and I adore anything with animal print! Happy Friday and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

That duster is so fun
I would never have guessed you were a fellow petite gal! I think the duster does a great job of actually making you look taller since it’s so long! (I guess because it gives the illusion that we’d be wearing a lengthy thing?)
I used to be into dusters myself, especially for layering. But I live in the tropics and never find need to layer. I should get on the market to find something light and breezy like this! 🙂
This is a really cute duster! I have been looking for one to wear with booties and heels! Leopard print is always a good go to!
This is such a cute duster! I love anything animal print!
I love dusters. They dont get enough “yeahs” as other articles of clothing. Love your dot duster!
That’s a gorgeous duster and it’s perfect with the black sweater and the black OTK boots. I can’t believe they carry those at Target! I think the fact that they’re OTK kind of extends your legs and makes you look taller. At any rate, the look is beautiful and you pull it off well! Thanks so much for hosting the linkup!
Absolutely love the duster!
I need this duster STAT!!! Beautiful look, I love the lace detail on your top too!
Love the outfit! Those button details on your black blouse are lovely! I love the higher boots with the beutiful leopard sweater.
