Hi loves,
Happy Friyay! How happy I am the weekend is here, after a long 2 weeks of either me being sick or the little ones… I feel like I need to go around with Clorox wipes and wipe every SINGLE item in my home!! I’m also happy to get back into work mood, I have a ton to makeup.
Myself and probably 80% of people look forward to wearing plaid in fall. It kinda goes hand in hand. I was in the search for a loose version, kinda like a bf plaid, But it just looked horrible on me. I pictured an outfit in my mind on how I was going to layer this bf plaid and every single style looked horrible on me. It made me look overall frumpy and added an extra 20lbs. So while this was in my return pile, I moved on and thought maybe it was just meant to be returned. Earlier this week we were lucky enough to have amazing and pretty rare temps for fall (80’s), of course I was loving it and knew I had to take complete advantage of it. I got this skirt late summer and have yet to style it, I think it was only right to pair it with this criss-cross body suit in the prefect rose color to go with wine. I felt I needed to divided this outfit just a little and while looking for a belt, I thought how edgy it will be to tie a top around my waist. I like that I gave this plaid top another try, the bright colors goes well with this monochromatic outfit (can you tell I’m totally loving monochromatic with my outfits)!
How do you style boyfriend plaid?
Have a great weekend babes

Great post. A few weeks ago I did a couple of flannel shirt posts and talked about my own frustrations with wearing flannels, and they were very similar to yours. I bought a Juniors XXL flannel shirt (because the tab sleeves were too tight in my arms in my usual size), and tried desperately to style it…but nothing worked. I felt because the shirt was so big, I just looked fat and frumpy. Unfortunately I already removed the tags, so I just wear it around the house now, or camping/hiking. Flannel/plaid is something I love on everyone but me.
The bf style flannel/plaid are definitely harder to pull off than what they seem. You have a set vision on your mind and then you put it on and you look like a snowman that just rolled off of bed. At least you found something to do with it, sometimes in these situation it hard to figure out how to wear it.

I am loving your skirt, and how you styled it with the plaid. Sometimes a pop of plaid is all you need, and you showed this perfectly with it tied around your waist! I need to try it.

Love that… a pop of Plaid! Sometimes something so small, makes a big difference in your outfit.
