Hi loves,
I go through this phases every winter, where I sit in my closet hoping it was summer! I look at all my summer dresses wishing the weather would be warmer for me to wear it, but reality hits when you look outside your window! Winter blues… move aside! Moments like this is when I’m most creative with my wardrobe and combined items I probably once would of not worn.
I was counting down the days until this tunic arrived at our store, literally! I couldn’t wait to wear it, because its a great basic (with a twist) tunic everyone needs for spring. But, what happen? It fit me more like a dress #petiteproblems. With any other item, I would of been thrilled, it’s one of my favorite bonus to being a shortie! Just not with this this tunic! The back is open which totally crashed my dreams, unless I was wearing it as a cover up 😉 Regardless, I didn’t want to give up on it! So, I went back to my closet and started getting creative! And guess what I spotted? My favorite summer dress!! I knew a pop of palm print can work magic with this tunic!! Unfortunately this palm print summer dress is sold-out, but I’ve linked similar ones down below 😉
I added my tall brown boots, even though part of me was eager to wear this open back tunic with a pair of espadrille wedges… just a couple more months babes! Finished the look rings, a horn necklace, and a pair of hoops.
How do you get creative with your looks?
Its Friyay!!! Oh how happy I am the weekend is here, need a good chill weekend. The kids are off from school all week next week for winter break… and I can already feel how drained I am going to be 😉 What are your weekend plans? Anything exciting?

How creative of you! Yes, I definitely see why you couldn’t wear as a dress! 🙂 I have the opposite problems as you. It’s hard to find dresses long enough and I usually have to wear them as tunics.
Now that’s the perfect way to wear this tunic, Mel. I would look at it and have no idea what to do!!

That tunic is really pretty. I love how you wore it with the dress and the OTK boots!

Mel, so first of all, I love the pink and brown together. Second, I was scrolling through your photos loving the whole outfit, then I got to the ones where you showed the back and I literally right out loud said “WHAT? That is so cool!” Thankfully, no one is home to hear me talking to my computer screen! My husband just left to take our kids to Gramma’s house for winter break! We will have 5 days kid-free alone in our house! Woooooo!

Very creative indeed! Love the whole mystery about where the palm prints are. I read your post had to do a double read because I didn’t see any but wow, you sure showed me after finally scrolling down to the photos! Very cute Mel and love how you paired it with your OTK boots. Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
