Hi loves,
Summer officially starts Friday and it’s time to talk about all you summer wardrobe essentials. Wardrobe essentials is probably one of my favorite topics to talk about, because its the foundation of building a wardrobe. These are key pieces that helps maximize outfits. And you guys know I am a HUGE fan of maximizing 😉 So, now that summer is here, its time to build the wardrobe of your dreams with pieces you can’t live without!

Nude Sandals
I know the saying “black goes with everything” but, I disagree. Sometimes a black shoe just won’t go with your look. Is it me or does some black shoes when paired with certain outfits look better styled for the winter? When in doubt ALWAYS go with nude, that’s my rule! Nude shoes go with absolutely everything and anything.
Currently, I am loving these nude flat sandals. There isn’t an outfit that doesn’t go with them. But I need a pair of nude heels and these are perfect. Love the chunky heel and boho vibes.

White Cut Off Shorts
Nothing screams summer than a good pair of white cut offs! I mean, a summer wardrobe essential for sure!! Shorts is always an options when running errands, playground with the kids, or even dressed up for a night out.
I’ve had these white shorts for years now and they are still one of my favorites. Also, obsessed with these sailor button shorts. On my wishlist for sure!

Denim Button Down
Okay denim button downs are a wardrobe must have! Let’s be honest, a denim top can take you places like no other. You can wear it all year round, creating a ton of looks each season. But my favorite way to style a denim top during the summer is as a replacement of a belt. Tie it around your waist and immediately it transforms your look!
I just received this one in my current stitch fix. Talking all about it in tomorrows post, stay tuned.

Midi Dress
Most of the dresses I’ve been buying this season are midi dresses! I love the silhouette midi dress gives you. They are so easy to dress up and look put together. Whether you are going to a shower, graduations or even date night.

Rompers
I have such a huge love with rompers. Yes, it’s weird when it comes to using the bathroom, but even so rompers are a must have essential for the summer season. It’s a one piece look which I am a fan of. There is something about the warm weather that makes me feel like I need something easy and light weight.

Light Weight Cardigan or Kimono
I live in upstate NY where some summer nights are a bit chilly and require a lightweight cardigan or a kimono. Find one you can wear for those nights and as a swimsuit cover up.
This eyelet cardigan is going with me on all my beach or lake trips! The eyelet detail makes it light weight for summer, yet keeping me on trend.

Causal Basic Dress
Causal basic dresses are the dresses you need in every color. You can wear them so many different ways and can be easily dressed up or down. My favorite way to style mine is with layered necklaces, hoops, flat sandal and a denim button down tie around my waist.
The fabric in this basic dress is super soft. Loving the flare sleeves and tie waist belt!

Linen Pants
There are occasions that require pants that are a bit more dressy, whether its for work or a special event. Linen pants is where it’s all about. These pants are lightweight and still keep you looking fresh and trendy this summer. Find one with a touch of glam to make them even more special.
It’s crazy, but I’ve been loving the color mustard this season. It’s a color I tend to wear more during fall and winter. These linen pants are so comfortable and stretchy.

Blush Wedges
Blush is the new nude. I can’t tell you how many times I added blush shoes to my outfits, either neutrals or bold colors looks. As I mentioned on Thursday’s post, I am so into wedge heels now days. The comfort level is unreal! Heels are cute and all, but wedges just makes your summer outfit a bit more glamours while feeling comfortable. They can easily create dressy or casual outfits. Plus, they make any summer outdoor event a bit easier to walk on. I’m sure you know the struggle of walking with heels in grass. Sinking in, anyone?

Satin Maxi
I know it’s maxi season, but sometimes wearing something long when the temps are above 80 is a sweat disaster! Satin maxi dresses have a light feel, making it breathable to wear. Besides, a satin maxi is just sexier 😉
What are some of your must have summer wardrobe essentials?
