Hi loves,
Ever wanted to wear two different prints at the same time? There are times when mixing two prints seems like you’re working at a circus. Then there are times you freaking surprise yourself and think you’re a goddess for mixing two prints like a pro! I figured I’ll gave animal print a break for just a bit and talk about two fall prints everyone is obsessed with. Plaid and camo will always have a special place in my heart every single time fall rolls around. It’s safe to say these two prints are the ones we think about the most when it comes to getting ready for fall.

I decided to break the rules and mix these two prints up and see what I come up with. We were going to our local pumpkin patch with the kids and wanted to wear something comfy, but still trendy. This distressed camo top was a purchase I made during the winter and one that I need to wear more often. I have two camo print tops in my wardrobe and this one doesn’t get much attention. Since its more of a relaxed, boxy style, I need to either tuck it in completely or do I half tuck. Otherwise it doesn’t nothing for my shape.
I knew wanted to add some type of plaid to this look. The way you can master mixing two different prints is to keep it in the same family color group. This oversize plaid green and blue top is always a fav to layer with. I worn it over a white tee and leggings. Or even a basic tee shirt dress. Rather than wearing this plaid top, I created a street style look and tied it around my waist instead. Finished my look with a crossbody bag and sneakers.

Are you into mixing prints for fall? What prints do you love mixing together?

Happy friday! What are your weekend plans? We arrived to Florida late last night for a short weekend trip and already can’t get enough of the weather. Why can’t our fall be this warm? Super jealous. Enjoy the weekend,

Hope that you have a lovely weekend ahead of you!
Mel, this is a great pattern mix! I would totally add some animal print right in with this! Plaid, camo, AND leopard! Oh my! This camo top is so great, too. Super sassy! Such cute photos, too! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

First of all, what a cute pumpkin patch outfit Mel and you are pattern mixing pro! I love how the camo and plaid just work together. I adore the neckline of your shirt as well. It gives your look that subtle edgy vibe. Secondly, have a great time in FL and enjoy the warmer weather. Lastly, thank you for featuring me this week. What a nice surprise and it truly made my day.

Great mix of patterns! I love the off the shoulder style of the top. I’ve never been to a pumpkin patch but it’s on my list of things to do – they make for such fantastic photos!

I would never had paired camo and plaid – but my closet is woefully short on camo! Looks great – and comfy too!
