Hi loves,
3 years ago I decided to take an adventure and start a fashion blog. I remember my excitement when I decided to start my blog, knowing that I had no idea what I was doing. I’m not the best tech person, but I was ready to make it happen. 3 years later, I still don’t think I know exactly what I am doing 🙂 But I am loving every min I spend here trying to get it together! I have learned so much throughout my journey with Mom with Style. You have to make every opportunity that comes your way a learning process, because lets be honest.. you can always improve! There are so many things I have learned while blogging I figured why not share a few with you guys!!
SEO Matters
Those that know me personally know, I tend to call this CEO ha ha. But all nonsense aside, it really makes a huge difference. I remember how excited I was when I google my blog and there it was! But that was just the beginning. SEO makes a big difference and even though I am no expert, I am started to see what a huge improvement it has been with my blog!
Make Blogging Friends
It is always nice having someone that can relate with you. Blogging should be about having fun while doing what you love. Knowing someone that can understand what being a blogger is all about is a huge support! I know some may consider this to be competition, but girls.. there is enough room for all of us. If anything feel inspire by what your fellow blogger has accomplish #girlboss
Keep Learning
As I mentioned above, always keep yourself informed. Research different ways to master and improve as a blogger. Pinterest is my go-to when I need help understanding how to master something. And let’s not forget about YouTube!!
Stay true to you
Don’t ever forget your purpose for starting a blog! It’s easy to get carried away and push your blog to the side. There are so many things that just come up and can sometimes prevent us from accomplishing our goals. Learn to stay focus and grounded!
Planning
I am usually a person that likes to plan her projects, meetings, work on the weekly basis, but sometimes I fall off the wagon. This is when I am so unorganized that sometimes I don’t even know what date it is… not kidding! Find the right day where you can sit down and plan out your to-do. I am more of a note planner, but lately I’ve been planning on my computer also. This way I know there is no way I can miss any deadline!
Haters are going to hate
It’s simple to picture bloggers and think oh it must be easy to do that! Or seeing bloggers as people that just take pics and talk about where they bought that skirt. But guys, do you know how tough it can be to always have a topic to write about? Fashion bloggers do more than just take pictures, we create a story with clothes. We are fashionista and love getting the word out and possibly inspiring another girls to feel good in what they wear! Even tough it takes hours to complete one post, we still have a passion to work at it!!
Are you a blogger? What is one thing you have learned in your blogging adventure?

Mel, first of all, this dress! You are stunning! I absolutely love it. Second, it’s my blog birthday today, too! Happy Blogiversary to you, my friend! I have learned so much on this journey and made so many amazing friends. I am so grateful to you for being so supportive of my venture and always being so willing to answer any questions I have. So thank you so much for that! And I never called you about that boutique question I had because I just found out that we will be relocating in less than 2 years, so I need to put it all on hold for now! But I am planning to visit your boutique the next time I make it down that way.
