Hi loves,
This season, I’ve been all about that summer glow! And I’m talking about the “fake it until you get it” glow, because I’m more oily than glowy right about now! From golds, to some shimmering, dark green and some soft pinks. I have found myself using these 6 products almost everyday, my go-to products. Like the good gf I am, I just needed to share what I’ve been loving lately 😉
I have included some swatches, beware this is my first time. The pics are the greatest, but I am sure I’ll get better with time!
Becca is my absoulte favorite highlighter brand! Every single palette or highlighter I have bought from them, always seems to amaze me. I was able to get my hands on X Chrissy Teigen as soon as it launched and I have yet been able to put it down!! You know how sometimes we buy palettes and maybe use 3 colors out of 15? Well, not with this baby. Another plus about this palette is that the bronzer and blush aren’t super shimmery. If there is one thing I can not stand is looking like I bathed in glitter!
Unfortunately, I was late in the game with Selena’s MAC collection. Luckily, I was able to pick this up at a recent trip to The Cosmetic Company store. No Me Queda Mas eyeshadow is the prefect crease color for girls with olive skin tones. You can use it as a base color for your eyeshadows or on its own. For those days when you don’t have a lot of time to create an eye look, you can use this color in your crease for a more defined brow bone look!
Laura Mercier eyeshadow in Black Karat is no joke guys! Every time I wear this shadow, I get so many complements. I feel like I’m literally wearing actual gold on my lids. You can wear this shadow dry or wet (wet swatch is on the right).
I tend to wear this color more in the fall, but I find it to be one of those shadows that can easily create a beautiful look. It has tones of blue, green and copper, which shines different depending on the angle. Add an orange/rust color to the crease and then this Urban Decay eyeshadow in Lounge on your lid, some highlighter in the inner corner to brighten up.. and your good to go!! Prefect for time night makeup look.
MAC Prep + Prime is my favorite makeup primer. It can be used alone for a more natural look or under your foundation for a flawless coverage. I typical use the tube instead of the compact, but this was another item I got from The CC store. I actually really like it in a compact, to have it in my purse for those touchups through out the day.
This is my go-to eyeshadow palette to travel with. The colors in Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea palette is everything I want and more. I love how it not only has warm and cool tone shadows. You can easily create a day or night eye look with this palette. Â I am pretty sure I wore mermaid all throughout July! It gives the right amount of gold without being too much.
What has been your summer go-to makeup?
