Hi loves,
Who doesn’t like a sleek look for winter and especially if its all black? I’m not sure if its the new year and the urgency to change everything in your wardrobe and keeping it fresh and sleek. As you may know, I am not the girl who typically likes wearing an all black outfit. I am more of lighter, creamer colors type of jam. But there are times I find certain pieces that can quickly change that thought.
This sleek 2 piece set is actually from my store. We are very particular when it comes to what type of inventory to bring into the boutique. Unique, special pieces is the way to go. Yet when we decide to bring basics they are an essential we believe you must have! This BB Dakota crop top and flare pants set is one you will fall in love with. Not only is the material is out of this world, stretchy and well made… the amount of outfits you can create with this set is insane.
As you might have guessed it, I love creating multiple looks surrounding one outfit. I think it helps me convinced the hubby my purchases are smart decisions 😉 😉 Since we are just beginning winter, I want to share 3 looks you can create with this sleek 2 piece set.

Perfect for Work + Date Night
Creating a date night look that is comfortable is pretty simple, right? But girls I’m taking it into different level and throwing in a work outfit as well. And it was simple! I added a white blazer for a classic twist, handbag and earrings. These earrings may not work for some of you, but you can opt for studs instead.

Perfect for Running Errands + Traveling
We are planning a family trip for winter break next month that requires a good amount of flying. This is the type of outfit I need to wear to get me through this long travel. I added a cropped denim jacket for outwear, minimal jewelry, and a belt bag. The only thing you need after that is your favorite pair of slip on sneakers.

Perfect for the weekend
You know those days when you want to be semi causal for comfort, but still want to be put together? Guys, this is me all day, everyday 😉 Whenever I feel this way I always go for a leather piece, because they instantly give you that sleek look. Finish my look with a crossbody bag and a statement headband.

Which look is your favorite?
Happy new year guys! Any goals you plan on crushing for 2020? I have listed goals for my business, but this is the first year I created some personal life goals. 2019 was a great year for us, even through all the ups and downs I had to face. As mentioned on my instagram lately, I am committed to really taking care of myself, specially emotionally. Creating boundaries and being more open about what I need or am going through. I hope next year I can look at that girl in the mirror and say “Yass boo, you come first!” It will be a work in progress for sure, but one I need to take into account.
Have a great weekend babes,

Such a fun set! I love the white blazer with it but it looks great every way you’ve styled it 🙂
Thank you for the link up!
Hope that you are having a great week 🙂
Oh wow, Mel, you look amazing in this! I agree that sometimes just getting back to basics and finding unique ways to style them is great. I love all 3 ways you have styled this. I can’t even pick a favorite! Well done!

I love all the different ways you came up with to style this black base.
Love seeing how to take basics up a notch! All three of these looks are so chic!

I don’t even have a favorite, I like all three ways! Honestly, that outfit is so perfect and versatile. Also, I love the big, chunky statement earrings in outfit #1. I haven’t been able to add a belt bag into my wardrobe as of yet, it just reminds me too much of the 90s but people are styling it soooo well, such as yourself. have a great weekend!

Smart move to show how your purchases are smart purchases, lol! This reminds me that I need to wear my black jumpsuit more this coming year. Black is such great blank canvas!

The thing about black is that you can pair almost anything with it for easy success. Your 3 examples demonstrates what a wide range of styles you can create around black. Lovely!
